Ip 114 Vicodin Computer Not Picking Up Correct IP Address On Charter Internet Instead Switching To 169.254.127.114?

Computer not picking up correct IP Address on Charter Internet instead switching to 169.254.127.114? - ip 114 vicodin

I have a problem with picking up the IP address of a charter cable modem internet. This is a problem for more than a week been. Before last week, the team was linked to the Charter modem and has worked well. However, do not connect in the last weeks of the compact desktop in the situation and to collect the IP address of the modem. It is constantly changing to an IP address 169254127114, do not occur but for the Interent connection. The IP address must 71.81.xx.xx. I know because of my laptop and get the beautiful Charter Internet. I take a step and use ipconfig / release and ipconfig / renew to prepare even the cable and to connect to the modem and then try to connect the cables and try to find a connection, but no 't.

The interesting part is. I have my computer at home connected to my DSL Centurytel and works well. I also again for the whole team Compact Framework original take everything in it. Still feel the sameIssue. The team does not establish a connection via modem through Charter, but the two other laptops have no problem to connect. Normally, I disconnect the modem after changing computers, but do not report the collection of laptops and IP Pact processor (ADM) to.

Does anyone have any suggestions or know what be the cause?

I'll try:

Are there any other device connected to the modem? As another router or switch? I say this because we do not know how they have more than one PC, and came directly to the modem or other intermediary device.

I'm not the same service, so I can not say what kind of modem your ISP gave you. But if you are like most people, can only support the modem to connect a machine. That is why people buy their own router () in this single connection to most PCs share.

So if you have a router / Indoor further, you can only use one (1) PC at a time.

The 169.xxx IP is a "standard" IP card - he claims to intellectual property, if you do not get through DHCP.

Compared to your question, I think you have said, a router internally - Re: on the basis of provided. This IP 71.xxx, it connects directly to the modem, because the IP is a real public IP address. If you had an internal router, it would be a private IP (192.xxx or 10.xxx, etc..).

Can therefore only one device connected to the modem at a time.

If you have a switch that will not work. And if your laptop is connected to the switch and has an IP address, his "owner" of intellectual property is only a modem. If you have your office to these changes are (on) will not receive a response (Re: no right to IP modem).

Again, this is a hypothesis about "the custom" of cable modems and DSL companies for houses.
